Mountain Bear (Sheela) Limited Edition Print

Archival giclée print on 11 x 14″ fine art paper. Signed and numbered in a limited edition of 50, with certificate of authenticity. This drawing was requested by Borderlands Research Institute bear researcher Matthew Hewitt based on observations of actual bear behavior! This painting was based on a specific bear in Borderland’s Research Institute’s ongoing bear project, as described to me by BRI researcher Nicole Dickan. “Sheela” (BBF004 was her ID in the study) is a phenomenal rock climber who makes her home in the cliffs of the Chisos Mountains in Big Bend National Park.
